One of our new Intriguing Faces painting series. Every Face tells a story; some stories are easy to guess, others may be a bit of a surprise, but all are intriguing.

Lola is currently the understudy to the South Florida’s Banana Lady and an excellent Samba Dancer. She’s following in the family footsteps working in the fruit entertainment business. It’s in her DNA. Her Father was the understudy to the Grapes in that most fabulous Fruit of the Loom commercial. Mama was a local cabaret star who adored a good fruit headdress and Grandmama was the understudy to the understudy for Carmen Miranda.

As a child, Lola dreamed of being a show girl, but unfortunately discovered at puberty, she was about 7 inches short of the height requirement - so into the family business she went dancing in local parades. She thinks a lot of the one that got away.

Her one paramour Denny is now the Assistant Sales Manager at a used car lot in Ocala with 3 kids by different baby mamas. Unfortunately his three kiddies disqualifies Denny from meeting the parents and a sustainable long term relationship.

Now 43 and not finding the success she craves, Lola is contemplating a career change. She’s trying to decide between going back to school for coding, becoming a trapeze artist specializing in fire-sticks or becoming an IG Influencer with a focus on Fruit. Our money is on the IG Influencer.
