One of our new Intriguing Faces painting series. Every Face tells a story; some stories are easy to guess, others may be a bit of a surprise, but all are intriguing.
Sebi known as Sebastian by his Mother and Airport TSA employees is a very handsome dude and a very good listener. His name changed after his 4th grade playing Pop Warner Football Coach started calling him Sebi. He considers himself fortunate Coach K didn’t call him something less desirable. Under similar circumstances his close friend Werner became known as Weinie and still goes by the name. Sebi continued playing football through his college junior year when he retired with a grisly knee injury. Unfortunately the knee also ended his scholarship and with no other school funding it curtailed his formal studies in Psychology. At the time, his favorite class was Abnormal Psych in which he could assign many those attributes to some of his team mates.
Today Sebi is a bartender in Chicago’s newest and trendiest roof top bar functioning as part mixologist, part therapist. Sebi continues to use what he learned in his college Pysch classes while chatting up Customers over Moscow Mules, an occasional Martini and a lot Sauvignon Blanc. Sebi has quite a bar following hanging on his Words of Wisdom and his alcohol therapy. Often overheard is one of his favorite sayings: “It Is What It Is”, Whatever that really means, it seems to cover a lot of issues and bases. His Mother thinks he should complete his degree and go into the Therapy Field and we have to agree.
